Arizona 90 reopened early Thursday morning, officials said.

The road was closed in both directions at Whetstone, north of Sierra Vista, on Wednesday afternoon after a passenger van collided with a fuel tanker.

The tanker was carrying 5,300 gallons of gasoline and 3,000 gallons of diesel. Homes in the area were evacuated.
