Bill O’Reilly signed a multiyear agreement to continue hosting “The O’Reilly Factor” on News Corp.’s Fox News, the most-watched cable news network.
The show has been the highest-rated cable news program for 94 straight months, Fox News said today in a statement. O’Reilly began at Fox News in 1996 and started “The O’Reilly Factor” two years later.
Under his new contract, O’Reilly, 59, will be paid more than $10 million a year, the Washington Post reported today. Fox News Channel spokeswoman Dana Klinghoffer declined to comment. This month, Fox News signed talk-show host Sean Hannity to a multiyear deal to stay with the channel and lured Glenn Beck away from CNN’s Headline News. In addition, former New York Times reporter Judith Miller is joining as a contributor.
