Man fatally shot by friend, Tucson police says

ARIZONA DAILY STAR
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 09.06.2008
A 22-year-old man was shot and killed by his friend early Saturday morning after the two men were playing with handguns, police said.
Jason M. Brant was visiting his friend, Courtney L. Robinson, at his home when Robinson pointed his gun at Brant and pulled the trigger, said Officer Linda Galindo, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.
Robinson was booked into the Pima County Jail on one count of second-degree murder and one count of weapons misconduct.
Both men had been seen with handguns before a gunshot was heard, Galindo said.
Officers arrived at the 800 block of East 30th Street at about 2 a.m., but did not immediately find Brant, she said.
The officers continued to search the area and found Brant in the front yard of a nearby home. He was pronounced dead at 2:14 a.m.
Robinson fled the scene, but he was later found at another house in the area and taken into custody, she said.
