PHOENIX — A man accused of sexually assaulting a 73-year-old Tempe woman is now facing a murder charge in Yuma.
Yuma authorities filed first-degree murder charges against 51-year-old Graham Bussi Gravely for the July 1998 killing of Linda Dorsey.
Her body was found in a desert area, and police never identified a suspect.
As Gravely was being interviewed in the sexual assault, Yuma police say he asked to speak to them about the killing and later implicated himself.
Gravely also is accused of breaking into the Tempe woman’s home, and robbing and raping her before fleeing to Mexico.
Mexican police arrested Gravely Aug. 2 in Puerto Penasco in Sonora. He is scheduled to appear in Maricopa County court on Oct. 1 on charges of kidnapping and theft, among others.
