Deputy Pima County Attorney Teresa Godoy has been selected to replace Pima County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore Barbara Sattler, who retired last week.

Presiding Superior Court Judge Jan Kearney selected Godoy Friday from an initial candidate pool of 33 candidates and a final pool of four candidates, which included Susan Kettlewell, Jeffrey Klotz and Danelle Liwski, said David Ricker, court spokesman.

A judge pro tempore has all the judicial powers of a regularly elected judge of the court, but is appointed by and stays on the bench at the direction of the presiding judge.
