ROOSEVELT — A woman's body was recovered from Roosevelt Lake after a caller reported to authorities just before 10:30 p.m. Monday night seeing lights shining from the water at the Indian Point Boat Ramp.
The Gila County Sheriff's Office in Payson said deputies discovered that a vehicle had driven into the lake.
A search led to the discovery of a body floating in the water. The victim was identified as 56-year-old Mary Lou Morton. No hometown was immediately available.
