Tucson's fourth red-light camera goes online Saturday

The city’s newest red-light camera at West River and North Oracle roads is supposed to go online Saturday morning at 6 a.m., according to the Tucson Police Department.
The camera is the last of four that target speeders and red-light runners at what police say are some of the city’s most collision-prone intersections.
A camera at South Wilmot Road and East 22nd Street started operating in February. The city’s first red-light camera went up in October at East Tanque Verde and East Grant roads. That was followed by a camera West Valencia Road and South Nogales Higway in January.
Another aspect of the city’s photo enforcement program, the roving radar van, will be at the following locations today.
∫ 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. the school crossing on South 10th Avenue at West La Paz Street.
∫ 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on West 22nd Street near North Silverbell Road.
∫ 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Menlo Park North Grande Avenue near West St. Mary’s Road.
∫ 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on East Prince Road near North Fontana Avenue.
