Amanda Beard, the former UA All-America swimmer, Olympic gold medalist and Playboy cover girl, has a new gig.
Beard is the new Go Daddy girl, appearing in her first-ever television commercial this weekend.
The ad campaign featuring Beard, who recently joined Fox Sports Net’s “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” is set to debut Saturday, airing on ESPN2. Go Daddy is a Web domain name registrar.
The ad will run on ESPN2 during their broadcast of the Virginia-Miami college football game.
“Amanda is absolutely smoking hot . . . anyone can see that,” Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons said in a news release. “What you get in the new commercials is her subtle, yet edgy sense of humor. Amanda is 100 percent GoDaddy-esque.”
Go Daddy, based in Scottsdale, has a reputation for racy ads, including some that were rejected for the Super Bowl. The new ad, called Shock, also features Olympic gold medal swimmer Mark Spitz.
