Local auto dealer and philanthropist Jim Click is turning his attention far from Southern Arizona -- to the coffee growers of Rwanda.
Hoping to promote economic development in the war-ravaged African nation he recently visited, Click has teamed with others to offer a sample of Rwandan coffee and a calendar focusing on the natural beauty of the country and its silverback gorillas.
Coffee is an economic backbone for the central African nation, where up to 40 percent of the population is dependent on the growing and sale of the beans, Click said.
Starting Friday, he is offering a sample bag of Rwandan coffee, a mug and a calendar to anyone who test drives a car.
The Rwanda coffee promotion was announced to Tucson media at a Thursday morning gathering at Click's flagship store at East 22nd Street and South Wilmot Road.
