Tucson, Arizona | Published: 06.07.2006
An 11-year-old boy was attacked by five pit bulls Wednesday afternoon on the
South Side, an official said.
The incident occurred in the 2100 block of South Tucson Avenue, near East
36th Street and South Kino Parkway, around 12:20 p.m., said Capt. Paul
McDonough, a Tucson Fire Department spokesman.
The dogs, which belong to a neighbor, bit the boy on the back and wrist, but
he was conscious and alert and was not taken to a hospital by Tucson Fire,
McDonough said.
Tucson Police and the Pima Animal Care Center were at the scene, he said.
No further information was available Wednesday afternoon.
