Workers from Archer Western Contractors Inc. put an 8-inch water main into South Scott Avenue between Corral and Ochoa streets as part of the Scott Avenue Streetscape Improvements. The project is the first phase of the Downtown Infrastructure Improvement Project. Scott Avenue improvements between Broadway and 14th Street will include underground utility upgrades, wider sidewalks, new landscaping, benches, lighting and areas for public art, the Tucson Department of Transportation said.
