We've got enough suggestions for tasty cakes to keep us going for quite some time.

We asked readers to clue us in on their favorite cake in town, and did they ever.

Lisa DiGrazia won the "Glamour Cakes" cookbook. Her favorite: the tres leches cake at La Cave's Bakery.

This week we're giving away a great kitchen reference book, "The Spice and Herb Bible," by Ian Hemphill. As an extra bonus, we're also going to give away "Sunday Soup," Betty Rosbottom's book full of a "year's worth of mouthwatering, easy-to-make recipes."

One of these cookbooks could be yours. All you have to do is go to the Star's Food for Thought food blog at azstarnet.com/food, click on "Win . . . Soup or herb books' " and tell us your favorite place to get soup in town, and what kind it is. Or simply submit your favorite soup recipe.

You have until 9 a.m. Monday to enter. We'll throw all the entries into a pile and pick our winners at random.
