Romance is the name of the game at Casino del Sol's AVA with a trio of Latin Casanovas set to perform by the end of the month:
Marco Antonio Solís, Luis Miguel and Alejandro Fernández.
Hitting all three concerts within three weeks might be a budget-breaker. Here's a breakdown so you can weigh your options:
Marco Antonio Solís
When: 8 p.m. Friday.
Cost: $40-$150.
Solís is an iron man of emotion with a career spanning more than four decades, multiple solo studio albums and countless songwriting and producer credits. A former member and co-founder of the popular teen ensemble Los Bukis, Solís' solo career has been built on songs guaranteed to get the passion pumping. He's spread the love, writing music for the likes of the late Rocío Dúrcal and producing projects for Enrique Iglesias and Olga Tañón among others. In 2005, Billboard magazine honored the performer for his work with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Solís is a regular to Tucson but should have some new material for Friday. His next album, "No Molestar," is due out on Oct. 7.
Luis Miguel
When: 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Cost: $50-$150.
Luis Miguel's talent and charm have won him almost as many leading ladies as awards over the years. He has been romantically linked with Daisy Fuentes, Mariah Carey and model Sofia Vergara, to name a few. These days, Miguel is a one-woman kind of man. He and model Aracely Arámbula had their first son in 2007. They are currently expecting a second child. It is not uncommon to find this heartthrob popping up on TMZ, selling out venues, or adding awards to his already long list of career honors. Miguel is touring the States with his May release, "Cómplices."
Alejandro Fernández
When: 8 p.m. Sept. 26.
Cost: $40-$150.
Fernández has already enjoyed incredible success with his 15th studio album, "Viento a Favor." The 2007 piano-laden pop release, with tracks that sing of young love and heartbreak, features works from members of the popular duo Sin Bandera and tracks recorded and produced between Buenos Aires and Los Angeles. His tour through Europe and recent shows with Marc Anthony in the States have been extremely engaging, according to critics. Fernández, son of iconic singer Vicente Fernández, surrounds himself with a mariachi ensemble and more than 14 backup vocalists and musicians during his sets.
