A 25-year-old man was found "down in the street" early Saturday near Roskruge Bilingual Magnet School and was later pronounced dead at University Medical Center.

Juan Carlos Zuniga was found near East Fifth Street and North Third Avenue "suffering from apparent trauma" at 1 a.m., a Tucson Police Department news release said.

An autopsy was performed Saturday, but the news release said no results about the cause and manner of death were being released "to protect the integrity of the investigation." The release called the death a homicide.
