Kuzu, a new boutique at 1991 East Ajo Way, is hosting a day-long "Paint Your Fashion" event on Tuesday.

The idea is to have fun designing, painting and dyeing fabrics that Kuzu will use to make its fall line of eco-conscious fashion.

Mariko Burton, an owner and artist, will offer guidance as you work at stations for tie-dye and free-style decoration.

While you're encouraged to bring your own fabrics, there will be plenty of vintage and repurposed materials.

The event is free and runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Burton, her sister Laurel, and their mother, Hazel Colditz, opened Kuzu on March 21 in a warehouse that's just off the South Kino Parkway. Check it out at paintyourfashion.com online.
