Oakland folk-rap act Why? will perform Saturday night at Solar Culture.

If this seems familiar, it's because Why? performed a Saturday night show at Solar Culture in March.

Why? is still touring behind the excellent 2008 release "Alopecia," which should end up on plenty of lists for the year's best.

"I still get that urge to write a song," frontman Yoni Wolf told us earlier this year. "It wells up inside me and it's not something I can really control."

San Diego dance artist Rafter will open the show. He'll release an EP on Tuesday called "Sweaty Magic." It's a genre-hopping party that blends Of Montreal-like vocals with elements of DJ mixes and electro-rock.

The 9 p.m. show will cost you $10.
