The Oak Ridge Boys are bringing a little mountain Christmas to the desert on Saturday.
The legendary country band's "Christmas Cookies" tour comes to Desert Diamond Casino, 1100 W. Pima Mine Road.
The monthlong holiday tour supports the band's 2005 holiday release "Christmas Cookies," a collection of chestnuts like "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and originals such as the inspired "Ordinary Days."
Saturday's show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30-$45 in advance, $5 more at the door, through Ticketmaster, 321-1000.

Rockabilly throwbacks Dayton, Leigh at The Hut
There's a certain twangy grit to the pairing of Austin rockabilly singer-songwriter Jesse Dayton and multi-instrumentalist/ singer Brennen Leigh on their duets album "'Holdin' Our Own' & Other Country Gold Duets."
It's a throwback to the Tammy Wynette and George Jones era — songs about lovin', two-steppin' and rehabbin', done in the traditional spirit with gorgeous steel guitar, fiddle and a laid-back energy that restores those songs to their rightful place on a concert stage.
The pair's live shows are a journey back to rockabilly's finer days — slung-back guitar moves and the emergence of a thrashing tempo that harkens to rock side of the country roots.
Dayton and Leigh play The Hut at 9 p.m. Saturday with opening act The Wyatts — Tucson's leading alt-country ensemble. Tickets are $5 at the door, 305 N. Fourth Ave.; 623-3200.

D.C. band Antelope due at Solar Culture
Washington, D.C., act Antelope calls its music "meditative, stripped-down punk." It also has elements of dance-rock acts like The Rapture, combined with the spacey-tension of a band like Deerhunter.
Antelope will perform an all-ages show at 9 p.m. Saturday at Solar Culture. Admission is $6.

Paul C. Morrissey at Laffs for weekend shows
Comedian Paul C. Morrissey will headline Laffs Comedy Caffe, 2900 E. Broadway, tonight through Saturday.
Morrissey has appeared several times on "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson." His comedy career came after a stint as a California TV sports anchor. He was reportedly fired after viewers kept inquiring, "Is he allowed to say that?"
Morrissey, a native of New York state, will perform at 8 tonight, 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7 tonight, and $10 for shows on Friday and Saturday. For reservations, call 323-8669.

Country Thunder lineup to feature Sugarland
Super country duo Sugarland is among 40 bands heading to Country Thunder USA April 17-20 in Florence.
Acts signed to the lineup so far include Neal McCoy, Phil Vassar, Jason Michael Carroll, Joe Nichols, Pat Green, Rio Grand, Jamie Lee Thurston, Chuck Wicks, Heartland and Heidi Newfield, the former lead singer of Trick Pony.
Organizers say more will be added in the weeks ahead. Hopefully they will include even bigger names to celebrate the event's 15th year, an impressive anniversary given that music fests tend to peter out after a few years. Country Thunder, which attracts roughly 100,000 fans during four days, has several times teetered on the brink of collapse.
After all the support Arizona has given this event, the biggest name is Sugarland? No Kenny Chesney? Reba? George Strait? Toby Keith? We're just saying.
Tickets are on sale now at www.countrythunder.com.
