One of two men arrested last week in connection with a double homicide is a former middle school teacher who was accused of having a sexual affair with a 13-year-old student.

Netzahualcoyotl G. Ramos, 34, was acquitted on six counts of sexual conduct with a minor last September but is now in being held on a $1 million bond after being identified as a shooter in a case that left two men — Francisco “Harvey” Gonzales and Manuel Alcarez — dead Jan. 29.

Ramos, along with Vincent A. Valenzuela, 21, were arrested on first-degree murder charges and identified as the shooters in an incident that began as a drug deal involving crack cocaine and marijuana, court documents show.
