Fall shoes in styles that shine

Reeooowhrrr. Sorry, the feline roar thing doesn't exactly translate into print, but it really does sum up fall's shoe offerings.
From animal prints — leopard spots, zebra stripes — to sassy, curved heels and rich plaids, expect to see lots of foxy footwear at local shops.
Dave Acosta, who manages J. Gilbert Footwear in Casas Adobes Plaza, says that the color green along with Mary Jane styles are popular. And metallic colors will still be shining in the shoe aisles, says Jessica Ochoa, who owns Stems — A Shoe Boutique in St. Philip's Plaza.
"With metallics, it's so easy — you just match your accessories," Ochoa says.
Another style popping up, mostly in pumps, is the covered platform, a real godsend if you're strutting around in higher heels. (The raised platform is hidden in the front of the shoe and covered by the upper.)
No matter what fall style you choose, wear 'em with attitude.
