Gynecologist joins OV office of Northwest Allied Physicians
Dr. Thomas Waliser, a board-certified gynecologist specializing in minimally invasive gynecological surgery, has joined the Oro Valley office of Northwest Allied Physicians.
He has his own practice at 1521 E. Tangerine Road, Suite 331. He also is a member of the medical staff at both Northwest Medical Center and Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley .
Waliser earned his medical degree from University of North Dakota and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill.
Stewart Title & Trust hires escrow officer and assistant
Stewart Title & Trust of Tucsonhas hired Lori S. Ruboyianes as an as escrow officer and Elisabeth Mineburg as an assistant escrow officer.
Ruboyianes has 11 years experience in the escrow business and has worked for First American Title, Lawyers Title, Fidelity Title and Ticor Titlein Tucson. Before that, she worked in radio and television advertising for 15 years.
Mineburg has 12 years of experience in the escrow business, having worked for First American Title, Lawyers Title, Ticor Title and Title Security Agency in Tucson. Before that, she owned her own business in the fashion industry.
Youth education director for Temple Emanu-El is hired
Lori Riegel was hired as the new youth education director for the Temple Emanu-El Kurn Religious School.
Riegel has taught Hebrew for 18 years and was a teacher at the religious school. Prior to her promotion, she was an account executive at the Arizona Jewish Post. She leads worship services at Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging and staffs corporate sponsorship for the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and J-Net.
Community Food Bank announces 2 additions
Carolyn Owens and Linda Hampton have been hired at the Community Food Bank.
Owens was hired in August as a senior grant writer. She previously held consulting positions with the National Student Parent Mock Election, Pima Prevention Partnership and United Cerebral Palsy and served in grant-writing and development positions with the Arizona Early Intervention Program, Danita Rodriguez & Associates and Native Seed/SEARCH.
Hampton took a part-time position as special- events coordinator in October. She previously served in positions as an extended intern at the University of Arizona, Extended University Conference Services, exhibit manager for the Safari Club International – Annual Conventions, and adjunct faculty at Pima Community College for Meeting & Convention Management.
Prime Capital hires Haase as mortgage consultant
Prime Capital has hired Dave Haase as a mortgage consultant.
Haase owned Sunrise Lendingfor three years before being hired at Prime Capital. He has 10 years' experience in the lending industry and more than 30 years' experience in real estate. His experience includes real estate sales and real estate appraising.
Foundation adds 4 staffers
The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona hired four new staff members.
Kristine Welter has been hired as the new communications officer. Before taking her position, she worked at University Physicians Healthcare. She has seven years of experience in marketing.
Andrea Thonvold and Katherine Westlund were hired as community philanthropy associates. Thonvold worked for Teen Challenge of Arizona's Springboard Home for Youth in Crisis, where she worked as a fundraising and grant writer. Westlund was formerly with Cal/West Educators Placement, where she placed educators in private and independent schools.
Peggy Terry was hired as an office manager. She is a certified professional in human resources with more than 10 years of experience in senior-level human-resources roles, most recently as director of human resources at Universal Avionics Systems Corp..
