Bank's 'fraud fighter' sentenced in ID theft

A Chandler woman who used her position as a bank's fraud-prevention specialist to steal another person's identity was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison and was ordered to pay $11,180 in restitution, Attorney General Terry Goddard announced Monday.
On July 22, Nora Elena Escobar, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of theft.
Escobar used her position as a fraud-prevention specialist for Sears National Bank in Florida to get the personal information needed to open a credit-card account in someone else's name.
