The University of Arizona will begin a series of discussions this month about the challenges faced by those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community when they enter the work force.
The series, "Out on the Job," will begin at noon Sept. 18 at UA Career Services in the Student Union Memorial Center, Suite 411. Tucson's Vice Mayor Karin Uhlich, an open lesbian, will be the first speaker, according to a news release from the UA's Office of LGBTQ Affairs.
Additional speakers will be featured at the same time and location on Oct. 16 and Nov. 20. The free series will resume during the spring semester and is open to people from in and out of the UA community.
