AAA Arizona has released its seventh annual list of "Top Shops," a list of auto repair facilities that the automobile club has determined provide their customers with honest, reliable and quality service.

In Arizona, the club is honoring 20 of its approved auto repair shops and three approved auto body shops, six of which are in Tucson and the surrounding area.

The local shops are AASTRO Transmission & Automotive Repair, 8150 E. 22nd St.; AASTRO Transmission & Auto Repair, 5302 E. Speedway; Borst Automotive, 1255 S. Swan Road; Eric's Carstar, 1330 S. Alvernon Way; AASTRO Transmission & Automotive Repair, 4443 W. Ina Road in Marana; and Hickey Automotive, 250 W. Calle De Las Tiendas in Green Valley.

To be considered for the Top Shop honor, shops must be part of AAA's network and meet more than 20 standards, including providing a list of 200 customers for AAA to survey, staffing Automotive Service Excellence certified technicians and providing a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on repair work.

Top Shops also must maintain at least a 90 percent approval rating in customer surveys, be active in the community and uphold an exemplary reputation.
