Crash kills motorcyclist

A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in an East Side collision Thursday night, police said. At about 8:30 p.m., the man was northbound on Pantano Road near East Fifth Street when his motorcycle collided with a southbound car as the car turned left into a driveway, said Sgt. Marco Borboa, a Tucson Police Department spokesman. The man, who was not identified but has a Phoenix address, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver of the car, a 19-year-old woman, was not seriously injured, Borboa said. The incident remains under investigation. No further information was available late Thursday.
