Longtime Sierra Vista official Barry Albrecht will be the new executive director and CEO of the Central Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation, according to a news release.
Albrecht, who has more than 18 years experience working in the economic development industry, will replace Paul Ringer, who announced last month he was leaving the organization to start a new business, the release says. Ringer had been with the Central Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation since 2006.
The economic development foundation works to create quality jobs, expand the tax base and retain and expand new industries in Central Arizona, including Casa Grande, Coolidge, Eloy and Maricopa.
Its new CEO, Albrecht, originally hails from Texas. He was previously the CEO of the Sierra Vista Economic Development Foundation.
