Last week, Michael Jackson, "The
King of Pop," died after suffering
cardiac arrest. He was 50, and
preparing start a series of
comeback concerts.

Jackson's musical
accomplishments were many,
including the hits "Bad," "Billie
Jean," "Thriller" and "Shake Your
Body (Down to the Ground)." His
1982 album "Thriller" is the
best-selling album of all time.

He collaborated with Paul
McCartney, Quincey Jones, and
his sister, Janet Jackson.

He invented the moonwalk.

And while his behavior later in life
was bizarre, we prefer to focus
on the positives, like Jackson's
music, and his charity work.

In one instance, the two
overlapped. Jackson co-wrote the
charity single "We Are the
World," which was released
worldwide to aid the poor in
Africa and the United States.

Tell us who co-wrote the song for
a chance to win an audio book.

Free RCougar download available

Tucson, Arizona | Published: 08.14.2008
The annual HoCo Festival at Club Congress is a three-day celebration of Tucson music that's become a Labor Day weekend tradition (Aug. 29-31).
Caliente's stage (Sunday, Aug. 31) aims to help showcase some of Tucson's best young local bands. RCougar will play alongside bands like West, The Runaway Five, Feel Good Revolution and Young Mothers.
Besides performances from acts including The Meat Puppets, Golden Boots and The Mother Truckers, the festival will have a record fair, an actual wedding (officiated by Al Perry) — if you're there, you're a guest — an eco-fair, a Buffalo Exchange fashion show and more.
Tickets are $5 per day or free in advance from Bookmans, Buffalo Exchange, Zia Records and Hotel Congress.
If you've never heard the delicious indie pop of RCougar, click on the HoCo Fest 2008 logo at the top of the page for a free download of "Lonely Vaquero's Trip Up North."
The song bursts with an infectious spacey guitar line, marching drums and quirky, melodic vocals. It's available at no charge today through next Thursday as an MP3 on AZNightbuzz.com.
