Single tickets for UApresents 2008-09 season go on sale at 8 a.m. Monday morning.

The upcoming season contains some goodies, too.

The Oct. 3 season opener is Mary Wilson, of The Supremes fame, who will be appearing with The Funk Brothers. If you are a R&B lover, you likely know who The Funk Brothers are. The Brothers backed up just about every major performer who came out of Motown, including Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and Marvin Gaye.

K.D. Lang croons on the Centennial Hall stage Nov. 12, and Broadway greats and Tony Award-winners Patti Lupone and Mandy Patinkin take the stage April 22.

Also on the season agenda: The Munich Symphony doing an all-Beethoven program (Feb. 24); Pilobolus (Jan. 28), the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (Feb. 27), and the Joffrey Ballet for dance lovers. And, of course, the great blues singer Etta James (March 18).

Ticket prices vary and are available at the Centennial Hall box office, 621-3341.

They can also be purchased at the Centennial Hall box office, 1020 E. University Blvd. on the University of Arizona campus. The box office is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, noon-5 p.m. Saturdays.
