● James P. Cook's landscapes are lush with paint and rich with images that you feel you could walk right into.
And new ones are on view through March 29 at Davis Dominguez Gallery,154 E. Sixth St.
That doesn't give you much time to catch this show of works by the Tucson-based and internationally known Cook. And catch them you want to.
Davis Dominguez is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. 629-9759.
● Over at DeGrazia's Little Gallery, 6300 N. Swan Road, "After the Rain," a show of Catherine Eyde's colorful works, opens for a short run with an artist's reception from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. It closes April 4. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. 299-9191.
● Just a few days left to indulge in a delicious, fantastical world with "Turner G. Davis: Fantastic Worlds," on view at the University of Arizona Museum of Art through Sunday.
Davis' works fascinate with their humor and inventiveness. There's an innocence about them that compels you to look more closely at his sometimes dark, fantasy-rich world.
The museum is in the UA Fine Arts Complex, North Park Avenue and East Speedway. It's open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free. 621-7567.
