Today — Feb. 29 — is a once-every-four-year day; we're in a leap year.

Which got us — and a couple of our photographers — thinking about leaping.

Kelly Presnell turned to the University of Arizona School of Dance, where costumes from the department and student Annie Christianson helped him realize his vision of a giant leap — that of marriage.

Photographer Jill Torrance persuaded 15-year-old Phoenix resident Abi Scheel to take some leaps on her trampoline for her photo illustration.
