You probably won't hear "Jingle Bells" when the Arizona Repertory Singers perform their series of Christmas concerts over the next two weeks.
But how about an all a capella concert of works that includes "O Nata Lux" and "O Magnum Mysterium" by Morten Lauridsen? There also are English choral favorites by John Rutter and Herbert Howells; Francis Poulenc's "Quatre Motets pour le Temps de Noel"; and a selection of Renaissance works.
They're all in the 24-year-old, 50-voice ensemble's "What Sweeter Music" concerts. Performances are at 5 p.m. Sunday at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 2800 W. Ina Road; 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Benedictine Monastery, 800 N. Country Club Road; and 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2331 E. Adams St.
Admission at the door is $12, $10 for seniors (age 55 and over) and students. Children 12 and under are free. For more information, call 792-8141 or visit www.arsingers.org.
