Favorite classes: Steven excels in math and social studies, said his father, Steve Ravago. Steven's grade-point average is currently 3.9, his father said.
Activities in school: Steven is in Pistor's band and plays trumpet, which he learned to play at White Elementary School.
Activities outside of school: Sports- and music-minded, Steven loves to play baseball, football and basketball as well as guitar and keyboards.
Whom would you have lunch with if you could have lunch with anyone? Steven said he'd dine with hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur.
"People think of him as a thug, but he made rap what it is today," Steven explained. "He started out as a poet, writing about the things in his life. If you listen to his songs, he wrote stories."
They would go to Chili's, Steven said, and order hot wings.
What books are you reading now? Steven is reading "Slash," the autobiography of the former lead guitarist for hard-rock band Guns N' Roses. From Slash's many tales of drug use, Steven said he learned the lesson to stay away from drugs.
Whom do you admire most? Steven said he most admires his father. "He always takes me to my games and my practices," Steven said. "He's always there when I need to talk."
What's on your iPod? Steven's portable music device has jukebox-like variety. There is rap, rock, R&B, oldies, Tejano and country music, as well as movies, programmed into his iPod.
Plans after high school: Steven wants to go the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and play football.
Dream job: Steven dreams of being a professional athlete.
Dream car: A Lamborghini.
Favorite place in Tucson: Arizona Stadium.
Hidden talents: Steven could form a band with his own talent. He learned how to play the violin and trumpet in school and taught himself to play the keyboards, drums and guitar.
Ravago said neither he nor his wife is musically inclined, though Steven's uncle, David, plays guitar in a Tex-Mex band and likely provided some inspiration for the boy.
Vouch: "He's dedicated to everything he does, whether it's sports or music. He's well-disciplined," Ravago said.
