Windows 9x and Outlook

Outlook 97

Microsoft released Service Release 2 for Office 97 to fix Year 2000 problems among other things. The location of the service release is linked near the bottom of this page.

Once Service Release 2 has been installed, Outlook 97 should be Year 2000 compliant.

Outlook 98

If Outlook 98 is given a two year date after 1999, it will incorrectly assume that it begins with "19".

This problem is discussed and the patch needed to fix the program can be found in the Microsoft Knowledge Base. The exact article is linked near the bottom of this page.

Outlook 2000

Microsoft has stated that Outlook 2000 is Year 2000 compliant without any updates.
