Spam Filters
Eudora 3.0 and Above

One of the most obvious uses for filters is to redirect spam (unsolicited commercial e-mail) out of your In mailbox.

Spam filters need to walk a line between keeping the spam mail out of the In box while leaving your wanted mail untouched. It is not a perfect solution, but it can be effective a high percentage of the time.

StarNet has developed a set of filters for Eudora Light 3.0 nad above (earlier versions of Eudora Light do not have filtering ability) which has shown to be effective at re-directing spam while leaving regular mail alone. It won't make your In box spam-free, but it should catch a good number and (typically) not re-direct your regular mail.

The way the filters work requires a little effort on your part before you download. That's what these instructions are for.

1. Launch Eudora.

2. Go up to Mailbox and select New. You should see a window like the one below.

New Mailbox

3. For the name of the mailbox, type in Spam and click on OK.

4. Go back to Mailbox and select New again.

5. For the name of the mailbox type in Suspect and click on OK.

Now you should be set to download the filters for Eudora.
