When you start Communicator and there is more than one profile, it will bring up a window where you select which profile to use. Profiles are not password protected. Anyone can access any profile.
1. You need to exit out of Communicator.
2. In Program Manager, double click on the Communicator Program group. In there is the User Profile Manager. Double click on it and you should see a window like the one below.
3. Click on New. A window explaining profiles should appear.
4. Click on Next. The window should change to one like the image below.
5. In there are the following settings:
Email Address
6. Click on Next. The window should change to one like the image below.
7. In there are settings for the profile name. The profile name should be the same as the username.
8. Click on Next. The window should change to one like the image below.
9. In there it asks for the following:
Email Address
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server
10. Click on Next. The window should change to one like the image below.
11. In there are the following settings:
Incoming Mail Server
Mail Server type
12. Click on Next. The window should change to one like the image below.
13. In there are the following settings:
Port
Secure
14. Click on Finish. Coummunicator should now automatically start with the profile you just created.
15. By default, Communicator will set the homepage (the page which loads when Communicator is launced) to Netscape's site. If you want to set it to StarNet's homepage, continue with the instructions below. Otherwsie, you are done.
16. Go to Edit--Preferences. A window will appear. The right side should look like the image below.
17. Under the Home Page section is the Location box. Delete what is in there and replace it with www.azstarnet.com/dnews
18. Click on OK. You should be set.
Note: If there is more than one profile for Communicator, it will bring up a box like the one below each time you launch Communicator. Just select the name of the profile you want to use.
