StarNet's DSL plans have several options.
The first thing to establish is that there will be two separate charges
for the DSL service.
First: There will be a charge from USWest. Like a modem connection,
the phone company is the carrier of the data between your computer and
StarNet. However, US West bills a DSL line on your monthly bill like any
other added service (i.e. call-waiting, caller ID, etc.).
Note: Just because you have a DSL line does not automatically
give you Internet access. The US West portion is just for converting and
maintaining the current, analog phone line to a digital one.
Second: There will be a seperate fee from StarNet to charge for the
Internet access. This will be billed seperately from the USWest bill.
Note: Your StarNet DSL account includes the Internet access,
one account for e-mail and web space for a personal homepage, and a second
account that is just e-mail only.
The prices below represents the combined prices of the US
West line charges and the StarNet DSL services -- in other words, no
surprises will be coming on that score.
- 256K bi-directional -- $49.95 a month total
- 512K bi-directional -- $100 a month total
- 768K bi-directional -- $130 a month total
Below is a beakdown of the DSL pricing and what exactly US West charges
(on your phone bill) and what StarNet charges (assuming credit card
payment, monthly billing is an additional $2 per month).

USWest Monthly Fee |
Total Monthly Charge After (SN & USWest) |

$29.95 | $49.95 |
