New special offer from US West for new DSL sign-ups

US West has revised its special for ordering DSL service.

The offer below is valid until October 30th.

The new offer is as follows (and applies to orders places online or over the phone):

1. Take an additional $45 off the hardware.

There are two types of DSL modem/routers available. The Cisco 675 typically costs $95 throught US West (with a retail value of $295). The Cisco 605 typically costs $45 through US West (with a retail value of $245).

With the special, the Cisco 675 is $50. The Cisco 605 is free.

2. The $69 setup fee is being waived.


3. The $145 optional fee for having a US West technician install the hardware has been reduced to $99.
