There really shouldn't be any noticeable changes to the phone line when it has been converted to DSL.

You will keep the same phone number with all the special features you had on it before (such as caller ID, call waiting, etc.)

Some people might have problems with noise on phone lines not running through the DSL "modem". To prevent this, the hardware package also includes three filters to eliminate the noise.

Note: Burglar alarms and similar security devices may not function once the phone line has been switched to DSL. More information can be found in the Burglar alarms and DSL section of this FAQ.
