Setup Costs
The first part of the cost includes the one-time setup and installation
fees from Qwest. These are listed below.
The modem fee is optional. Any ISDN equipment should work with IDSL. The equipment ranges in price from $40-$500, depending on what you need it to do.
The setup fee includes the cost of adding the additional line and hooking it up to the DSL network.
The install fee covers the cost of a Qwest technician to come to your home/office to install and configure the IDSL equipment/service. During the initial offering of IDSL, this will not be optional.
Note: There are no setup fees charged by StarNet for IDSL.
Monthly Costs
There will be an additional $69.95 charge on your monthly Qwest bill for
the IDSL line. This charge will appear in addition to whatever charges you
currently have.
Note: If you currently have a second line just for Internet access, you can drop the second line (~$20/month).
For Internet access through StarNet, you will be charged $16.95 to your credit/debit card (or $18.95 for monthly invoicing).
Since IDSL is not a dial-up connection, basic IDSL accounts will not be able to dial in to StarNet's modems. If you want/need dial-up access, it can be added to the account for an additional $10/month.
