Note: The original equipment sent out were called SpeedRunners. Since the manufacturer of the SpeedRunners (NetSpeed) was purchased by Cisco, the new devices being shipped are called Cisco 675e (and will be refered to as a "Cisco" through the rest of this page). Setup for both devices are the same.

| SpeedRunner 204/Cisco 675e | Cisco's ADSL modem |
| Power Supply | North American AC power adapter |
| ADSL Cable | 14 ft. RJ-11 phone cable |
| Ethernet cable | 6 ft. yellow Ethernet category 5 cross-over cable |
1. Connect one end of the yellow Ethernet cross-over cable to the computer's network card. The other end should go into the Ethernet port on the back of the Cisco (the one labeled "ENET").
2. Connect one end of the ADSL cable to the phone jack. The other end should go in the incoming line port on the Cisco (the one labeled "WALL").
3. You can plug a phone in to the back of the Cisco in the port labeled "PHONE".
4. You should have gotten EZ-DSL MicroFilters. These are for filtering out the data portion to make the voice communication on other phones clearer. You can attach them to any other phone lines so that the line coming from the wall jack is plugged in to the port labeled "WALL" and the part labeled "PHONE" plugs goes to the phone/fax/etc.
Note: The Cisco has a filter built in to the PHONE port. There is no need to put on on that line.
Note: Also, do not put a filter on the phone line going to the Cisco. Doing so will prevent DSL from working.
5. Plug the power supply into an outlet. Then plug the power cable in to the power connector on the back of the Cisco (labeled "PWR"). The Cisco should then turn on.
Note: The DSL "modem" manufacturer recommends unplugging the Cisco when not in use. It does not need to be on for the phone portion to work.
