Welcome
Welcome to StarNet, the online edition of The Arizona Daily Star and
gateway to the Internet. This service was conceived and developed by Bob
Cauthorn, movie critic and Internet maven. It was Bob's idea to combine
the newspaper and the incredible resources of the Internet. The result is
the daily news links that increase your news reach. Star researchers hunt
the Internet everyday for links to today's news.
In addition, you may search
the Star's
library and/or
search the news
wires for information. And of course, you may browse the StarNet
newsgroups, which are unique to Southern Arizona.

Basics
How to contact StarNet
If you encounter problems configuring or using the software contained on
the StarNet disks and can't find a solution in this manual, there are few
other places you can look.
What your StarNet account includes
StarNet provides dial-up Internet access. We support Windows, Windows 95
and Macintosh operating systems. Your personal non-commercial account
includes email use, and five megabytes of storage on our server. We are a
flat-rate provider which means that you pay no additional connect-time
fees.
A word about software
Aside from Netscape, the software made available on the StarNet CD-ROMs
is freeware or shareware that we have been given permission to
redistribute. We do so to save you the trouble of finding and downloading
it. But it is not software that we support. We encourage you to check the
software's Readme files for information about the author and support for
the software.
