Fact: Addicts often become unable to function sexually.
- Female adolescents who become chronic marijuana smokers face a greater risk of raised testosterone levels, which can result in increased facial and body hair and acne.
- Rohypnol (generically known as flunitrazepam) is the most widely prescribed sedative in Europe but is not licensed for sale in the United States. In some areas, it is associated with gangs. Street names include roofies, la rocha and rope.
- Jimson weed, also known as angel's trumpet, can cause serious illness or even death.
- The effect of hallucinogens such as LSD can last for 12 hours.
