The differences between the above P.B. models lies in the age, quality and beauty of the woods used in their construction. There are also differences in the techniques of construction used on the guitar's interior. As well, on the more expensive models greater attention is given to artistic details. For the Imperial model, Bernabé uses only the finest materials, and employs his latest techniques of bracing and strutting-- a relatively complex multi-strutted layout that includes for struts working outward from the sound hole, as well as three fan braces at varying heights and thickness. The Imperial model also uses an innovative bracing system on the back. The result is a sound that he describes as "powerful, sweet, balanced, with great sustain and impact."
