MESA — Police in Mesa say they've made an arrest in a case where a cigar store owner posted video of a watch being shoplifted on the Web site YouTube.
Detective Chris Arvayo said investigators arrested 35-year-old Michael L. Adams of Mesa early Wednesday and booked him on charges of shoplifting and trafficking in stolen property.
Watches were stolen twice from the cigar store in early November, and the incensed owner posted the videos on the popular Web site. Police tracked one of the watches to a local pawnshop. They found Adams had used his own identification when he pawned it.
When confronted after his arrest Adams admitted to the thefts, Arvayo said.
