Tucson Time Capsule : Book and Author '83

Tucson, Arizona | Published: 12.02.2008
It was time for the fourth annual Arizona Daily Star Book and Author Luncheon, and 700 people attended the popular event on Dec. 2, 1983. The sellout crowd at the Ramada Inn had the opportunity to meet and greet four national authors. Shown here, Mrs. William F. Moehlman asked Norman Cousins to inscribe her copy of his book "The Healing Heart." The other authors at the 1983 event were Allen Drury, Judith "Miss Manners" Martin and Norman Katkov. Cousins, who owned a ranch in Patagonia, often came to Tucson.
