"NOTICE YOU MAY ENCOUNTER NUDITY BEYOND THIS POINT" read the sign posted outside the Coronado National Forest campsite of the Canyon State Naturists. The group was giving fair notice to anyone who approached that nudists were enjoying a weekend retreat in the forest near Benson. Clothing was allowed, although most had opted to forgo the "window dressing of everyday life." One dedicated naturist explained, "You leave your professional self behind. Your personality comes through." These campers watched an impromptu volleyball game at the gathering on Sept. 25, 1993.
