![]() What could be more fun than 110 sixth-graders and faculty members on a three-day camp-out in the Chiricahua Mountains? At least it must have been fun for the students. The attendees were from Drexel Elementary School, in the Sunnyside district. On March 24, 1983, they were on the school's third annual retreat to Pine Canyon United Methodist Camp. Giovanna Morales, left, Martha Parra, center, and Yolanda Silva tried their hand at cooking. According to one camper, "It's great to be with just sixth-graders and not to be around bossy parents." And as for those teachers, well, gosh. "They seem more human." BENJIE SANDERS / ARIZONA DAILY STAR 1983
