University of Arizona students began moving into dorms Wednesday, meeting new roommates, with classes set to start Monday.

freshmen are expected at the UA, the most ever.

years ago, the university welcomed 4,578 freshmen. Tuition and mandatory fees totaled $2,058 then. They are $5,037 now.

students have been assigned to temporary living spaces. On-campus housing is full beyond capacity. A waiting list for campus housing started on May 4 and has stretched past 650 names.

students (approximately) live in 21 residence halls. Residence Life is moving ahead with plans to build two more dorms at the south end of campus.
