Family Arts Festival

The fourth annual Family Arts Festival is Jan. 11, 2004.

The expanded 2004 event runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will stretch from the Tucson Convention Center through La Placita and across the Congress Street pedestrian bridge to Presidio Park. The festival is coordinated by the Tucson Pima Arts Council. The Arizona Daily Star continues to be the event sponsor.

It will feature five stages - including a youth stage - and dozens of interactive workshops and family activities.

New this year is a Global Village, which will feature food and arts from around the world, and two areas devoted exclusively to children's activities.

The new Festivals Stage will preview the music of Tucson's biggest music festivals, with information booths complete with upcoming festival dates and music samplers for sale.

For more information, contact Liz Bustamante at the arts council at 624-0595, Ext. 10, or e-mail info@tucsonpimaartscouncil.org
