We asked several people their first-impressions of the photos shown below. Here's what they said:
TATTOO:
Gwen Griffin, 55: "I like the colors, blue and red, but - what are they?"
Jackie Dohring, 15: "It's ugly, because I don't like tattoos."
Saba Bennett, 36: "I've always preferred tattoos with color. The artwork is nice. You could easily hide it. I don't understand why people get large tattoos with no color. I don't like cheap-looking tattoos."
PIERCED TONGUE
Jessica Smith, 15: "It's cool, because I want my tongue pierced!"
Tom Scarborough, 54: "It doesn't really bother me. I'm not shocked by it at all, but I wouldn't do it."
Coleen Penski, 39: "I've seen that on other people, but it's not something for me."
WHEELCHAIR
Stephanie Swift, 15: "That is sad, because I don't want to be all alone like that."
Saba Bennett, 36: "It looks like a fine facility. It also looks like she has a lot of medical support. It brings to mind the fear that we all have of getting old and becoming non-self-sufficient."
