  • Where in the world can you drive in just a few hours' time from a seashore where dolphins play, to forests of giant saguaros, to snow-capped mountains?

Only here in the Sonoran Desert, this beautiful, surprising region we share with a remarkable number of unique plants and animals.

In this special section, we'll take you on a journey in honor of the 50th birthday of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

We'll explore everything from the desert in your own back yard, to the world-famous museum in Tucson's back yard, to the huge "back yard" that is the entire Sonoran Desert.

We've designed this section especially for kids, their classrooms and families, but there's something here for everyone.

    So come on along!
